When life gives you lemons … make lemonade. Meet Barrie and Jamie! These sweet girls have already shown just how resilient they are. Barrie and Jamie were abandoned together in a cat carrier outside a closed animal shelter on a freezing night, with temperatures expected to drop below freezing by early morning. They would not have survived if a kind Good Samaritan hadn’t noticed the carrier and brought them home for safe keeping. After calling the hotline, a foster volunteer quickly stepped in to bring them to safety. Because of that compassion and quick action, these girls were given a second chance at life. Now safe in foster care, they are calm, quiet, and perfectly content to simply hang out and relax. We estimate they are about a year old and believe they may be siblings. Although they arrived together, they do not appear to be bonded and can absolutely be adopted separately. However, each would do best in a home with another friendly cat for companionship or in a home where they will receive plenty of one-on-one love and attention. Barrie is a beautiful brown tabby with a peaceful, easygoing presence. Jamie, with her soft tabby markings and white accents, shares that same gentle and laid-back personality. They are good with other cats. While they have not yet been tested with dogs, we believe they could adjust well with slow, proper introductions. Both girls are fully vetted, was born approximately 2/4/2025, and can be adopted outside the immediate Tulsa area. Their adoption fee is $90 each, with a special reduced rate if they are adopted together. They survived one of the coldest nights of their lives.
