About Penny
Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now! Meet Penny, a sweet young girl who made her way to the Bakersfield Shelter as a stray along with her two brothers. While her brothers found homes, Penny remained hopeful and patient. She experienced a caring foster home with dog-savvy cats before Amazing Strays Rescue brought her to San Diego to help her continue her journey. Penny has shown tremendous bravery and resilience after losing one eye due to a previous injury. Sheβs adjusted impressively, discovering confidence as she learns to get around with ease. Penny has lots of energy and would thrive in a home with a yard and the opportunity for daily walks. She is great with dogs of all sizes and would benefit from having a canine companion. Her ideal home includes children 12 or older who understand how to respect her space, since she sometimes feels anxious in new situations. Could you be the loving and patient person that helps Penny blossom in her forever home? As an Aquarius, Penny is naturally adaptive and loves exploring new things!
