It is way past due for Essie to find her family. After multiple foster homes in WV where nobody expressed an interest in her, Essie is trying her luck in a more popular place beginning March 4th. Already well-versed in basic commands — sit, stay, heel — she is also easy to walk on leash, is very well-mannered, and has learned it is not a good idea to jump on people. Essie may be a bit shy upon meeting new people, but warms up quickly. Around 60 lbs, Essie is said to be a good choice for kids, is most likely housebroken (she may have an accident or two in a new place), but not a good match for cats or chickens. You can visit the dogs from noon - 3 pm Saturdays and Sundays, otherwise by appointment.
