Monroe is young and NOT a lap dog! She will need plenty of exercise and stimulation! She's FAST, SMART, and eager to explore. And she can dig! When we carried Monroe into our vet for her intake exam, she was scooped up by a team member there and we didn't really touch her until the end of the visit. Everyone wanted to meet her and hold her and she charmed them all. And Monroe loved every minute of it. Monroe really is a sweet, petite little girl - her legs are so short but they most definitely get her where she needs to go - and quickly! She has made some friends in Panda's Place - they usually let her run circles around them and then they start to play with her. Her new friends have so much patience with her - they are trying to teach her how to play and make friends and she is such an eager learner. That's the striking thing about Monroe - she is 11-months-old and every day is a brand new adventure for her. But in a calm and curious way, not a frenzied, puppy-mode kind of way. And as much as she loves other dogs, she loves people even more. Monroe was an owner surrender to us. But this is a critical time for her - no puppy should be in the shelter, it's a world we don't want them to become familiar with.
