FOREVER HOME NEEDED Meet Pastrami! Pastrami is a 7-month-old, 35 lb Border Collie/Labrador Retriever mix who came to us as a stray from an overcrowded shelter. This sweet, dopey, goofy boy is everything you love about a young pup ~ soft-hearted, good-natured, and full of potential. Pastrami is such a gentle soul. He can be a little shy at first and looks to his people for reassurance, often tucking himself right between your legs or resting at your feet. He loves being close, constantly checking in for direction, and loves belly rubs. He does great with other dogs and would especially benefit from having a confident canine companion in the home to help him build confidence and show him the ropes. He’s ready to be someone’s “little brother” — tagging along for life’s adventures and learning how to be the very best dog he can be! As a young, growing pup (who will likely get quite a bit bigger), Pastrami will need a home committed to continued socialization, training, structure, and positive reinforcement. He’s eager to learn and thrive, and just needs guidance and consistency to help him become his best self! An active home that will take him on walks, adventures, and include him in daily life would be perfect. With love, patience, and leadership, Pastrami is going to grow into an incredibly loyal, loving companion.
