Meet Jewel! Jewel is a ~7 year old Frenchton who came to us after the owner couldn't afford her medical care. Her foster thinks she may have been used as a breeder and then neglected, as she arrived to us underweight with some serious alopecia and a hematoma. Jewel hasn't let any of this stop her, however, as she has a new lease on life! Jewel is learning that it's okay to play and run around and spends much of her days pawing at her foster for some attention. She thinks she wants to play with other dogs, but hasn't fully committed quite yet. Although as it relates to humans, she can't control her spins when it's time to eat or when the leash comes out. Jewel is so friendly that, on multiple occasions, her vet has asked if she can come earlier than her appointment to just be around all the staff (this is 100% true) She's not housebroken yet, but we're working on it. She is praise and food motivated so I don't think it should be too heavy of a lift. But if you adopt Jewel you should expect a lifetime of snorts, hilarious faces, cuddletime, and love.
