About Murphy
On January 30, six tiny kittens landed at the Oktibbeha County Animal Shelter because their owner failed to have their mom spayed. It's a story we see too often — but thankfully, this one has a bright chapter. Those once small, fragile babies have grown into confident, happy, boisterous balls of fur. And they are ready for their next adventure. Meet Kelly, Alex, Dalton, Ralph, Murphy, and Angelo. From their foster: • Kelly and Alex are the tiniest of the bunch and absolutely devoted to each other. Kelly is quite the little talker — she has opinions and isn't afraid to share them. • Dalton is the biggest boy and the most solid gray of the crew. He's a nuzzler and a world-class snuggler. • Murphy is always on the move — a true mover and shaker. He'll slow down for a cuddle now and then, but life is just too exciting to sit still for long. • Angelo is pure play. He always finds something to entertain himself and can turn just about anything into a toy. • Ralph loves to climb, loves to snuggle, and especially loves Churu treats — that's the way straight to his heart. These kittens are the perfect reminder of why spay and neuter matters. One unaltered cat can quickly turn into six... and then more. The good news? These six are safe, thriving, and ready to bring laughter and love into someone's home. If you're looking for playful energy, sweet snuggles, and a little bit of delightful chaos, one (or two!) of these babies might be just what your home needs. Everybody loves kittens, and it's not hard to see why! Bringing home a kitten (or two!) means your home is about to be 1000% more adorable. Because kittens are much happier with a feline friend, we only adopt kittens who are under 4 months old out in pairs, or to families who already have a resident friendly cat playmate. If you are looking for a solo cat, please consider one of our friendly available older kittens, teens or adults! All of the Sweet Paws animals are loved a great deal by their rescuers, fosters, and the volunteers who've cared for them along the way. Your kitten will be up to date on appropriate vaccinations by adoption day, but please keep in mind that kittens require multiple routine vet visits throughout the course of their first year. Sweet Paws is staffed by volunteers, and processing applications is time intensive; therefore, we ask that you only submit an application if you are fully committed to adopting.
