Brandy was surrendered by her owner due to conflicts with another dog in the household. Although we know she had a conflict, she has interacted well with several dogs since arriving at TIRR Rescue. She does gain some tranquility when another strong lead dog is around. Her best friend is a dog much younger and larger. I would say she is almost dependent upon this dog for support. This tells me that she is capable of building a quick & solid bond with any dog that does not try to dominate or intimidate her. We have found that Brandy is a little nervous and thrives on having her human close at hand. She is definitely looking for a family that needs a dog; she is definitely a dog looking for a family. When she arrived, she had a growth on her hip area that we had checked at her first vet visit. It was determined that it was likely a mast cell tumor and needed to be removed.
