About Summer
Summer is a resilient and affectionate girl looking for a new beginning after a rough start. Found as a stray with injuries to her legs and feet, she’s bounced back under the care of a foster family who helped her heal both physically and emotionally. Summer thrives on connection—she loves people, adores snuggles, and proved fantastic with children in her foster home. At the rescue, she’s making steady progress. Leash training is going well, and she’s working on her manners as she adjusts to the excitement of new environments. Summer already knows commands like sit and no, picks up on new routines quickly, and wants nothing more than to please those around her. Patient, ongoing training will help her keep building confidence. Outside time is her favorite—she loves zooming around the yard and just being part of family activity. With slow, attentive introductions, Summer has made doggy friends and could happily join a home with other dogs committed to careful socialization. She is not suited for homes with cats. Summer is ready to leave her past behind for a loving home that will give her the structure, care, and light she deserves. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
