About Maple D Arriving
Maple was found living under a broken down trailer in Texas with her brother Timothee and several other dogs. Neighbors shared that the dogs on the property had been neglected and left to fend for themselves outside. When Maple was first rescued, she was malnourished, dehydrated, covered in fleas, and had worms. Today she is healthy, thriving, and showing everyone just how special she is. Maple is a tender, affectionate puppy with a calm, easygoing temperament. She can be a little unsure when first meeting new people, but she warms up within minutes and quickly leans into affection. Once she feels safe, her nickname "Potato" makes perfect sense. She will flop onto her back for belly rubs and happily let you hold her, even though she is not exactly a tiny lap dog. She has a beautiful balance of playful and peaceful. Maple loves running around outside and playing with her brother and other dogs, then settling down for a cozy nap or snuggles. She is very attached to Timothee and they eat, sleep, and cuddle in the same crate and would like love to have a dog sibling in her forever home. Maple does guard her food from her brother and will growl if he tries to take it while she is eating, but she does not show this behavior toward people or children. This has been easily solved by feeding them separately. Maple is doing well with her crate routine and is generally a quiet dog. She only barks occasionally during play or if other dogs are barking. She would thrive in a home that offers warm, consistent attention and likely another dog to play with. Maple is sweet, loving, and ready to bond deeply with a family who will give her the steady care she deserves. Maple is from Texas.
