Meet Polar! Polar is a 6-week-old male Great Pyrenees mix (almost purebred — mostly Pyr with just a dash of Collie!) who’s already showing all the classic Great Pyrenees traits everyone love. His mom was found as a stray and taken in by a kind Good Samaritan just in time — she delivered her puppies the very next day, and Polar has been thriving ever since! Polar is attentive, curious, and already takes his “guardian duties” seriously. He likes to know what’s going on around him and will happily keep an eye on his people. When he’s not supervising, he’s busy being a happy, playful puppy — rolling in the flowers, soaking up the sunshine, splashing in water, and exploring the world. For such a young pup, Polar is doing fantastic with his manners. He’s rocking potty training for his age and even sits calmly for nail trims — pretty impressive for a fluffy baby! Polar has been raised around other dogs, cats, and kids and has done wonderfully with everyone, making him a great fit for many types of homes. Like any Great Pyrenees, he will grow into a large dog and will thrive with a family ready for the grooming, training, and commitment that comes with a big guardian breed. Polar will be available for foster-to-adopt starting March 9th. Foster-to-adopt means Polar would come home with you while he finishes his remaining vetting (such as vaccines and neuter when age-appropriate) through Ruff Road Revival. During this time, he remains a rescue dog in our program, and once his vetting is completed, the adoption would get finalized. This allows puppies to safely go home earlier while ensuring they receive all required medical care.
