If there were an Olympic medal for world's cutest kitten, four-month-old Jinx would be a definite contender. Jinx was one of over 20 cats gotten out of a rather appalling hoarding situation. Jinx may be a little guy, but he has a huge personality. We observed that he is shy around humans when there are other cats around. Once we got him away from other cats, his affectionate, playful personality emerged, and he has developed into quite a lap cat. As such, he is one of the few kittens who would be OK adopted as the solo cat in his feline domain as long as it's a very Interactive home in which he will get lots of play and is not left unaccompanied for long hours. We have not observed him with dogs or kids, but he seems likely to do well with both, as long as they know how to be respectful toward a cat. A home with kids and/or a stay-at-home or work-from-home parent would be ideal. Jinx never met a lap he didn't like. Jinx seems like an easy cat who would be suitable for the home of the right first-time adopter. He has been neutered, is current on vaccinations, tested negative for FeLV and FIV, and treated for worms and fleas. His adopter will receive his medical records. He’s being fostered in Wellesley. Adoptions are facilitated by video meet-and-greets, as well as in-person visits. There is a simple adoption process and an adoption fee of $350, which helps us continue rescuing cats in need.
