Humphfry is a cute one-year old male Terrier mix who was brought to the HSOV on February 18, 2026 by a local citizen after he was found on State Route 7 in the vicinity of the Eramet Manufacturing Facility south of Marietta Ohio. Humphfry was wearing a black leather collar encrusted with silver beads but, unfortunately, there was neither an id tag nor a dog license tag on his collar .. And he was not microchipped. This little fellow has a tan-and-black coarse wiry-haired coat with a patch of white on his chest, rather short legs, a long body, a long tail, and an adorable mischievous-looking face. Humphfry has sparkling dark brown eyes, a black button nose, a slender muzzle, and large erect ears. Humphfry is full of playful puppy-like energy. He is currently being housed in our front office and is a wanna-be assistant to the HSOV Adoptions Clerk. Humphfry loves to snuggle up together in "their" office chair. He appears to have some separation anxiety since he doesn't like to be left alone. Humphfry is a petite little man who weighed 17 lbs when he entered our shelter. In compliance with the Ohio Revised Code, Humphfry was held for the mandatory three-day stray hold so that his family would have an opportunity to reclaim him with proof of ownership. Humphfry's photos were posted on our HSOV Facebook pages the day he arrived, but nobody has called or came looking for him. Since he was not reclaimed, Humphfry was neutered on February 23, 2026 and was also given rabies vaccine. We are currently accepting HSOV adoption applications for Humphfry and will find him a fabulous home (where hopefully he will have a special someone with him 24/7).
