About Rocky Bullwinkle
This dog is currently out of state but will be transported to New England shortly with no additional travel costs. The long distance adoption process includes talking to the foster they are living with in the south. Roughly 90% of our dogs are successfully long distance adopted and 10% adopted locally. **Please read Rocky Bullwinkle's entire profile, which includes a link to the adoption application at the end. Thank you!** The adventure's just begun! Meet Rocky Bullwinkle, a 2-year-old German Shepherd mix, weighing 50 pounds (as of 2/23/26). This clever boy hails from the streets of Tennessee as a lost and found. Since his owners never claimed him, he'd use his rocket-like flying abilities to wow passersby in exchange for treats. Now he hopes he can upgrade to being a New England house dog with treats everyday! When he's not moving at the speed of light like a flying cartoon squirrel, he's nuzzling up on his people and giving them lots of love. Rocky is a friendly boy who we presume was in a home before because of how sweet and gentle he is. He'll fit right in your home with his playful nature and might even save you from the various villains in your neighborhood. Talk about a hero! Rocky knows how to "sit", does well on a leash and crate and is also house trained. If you have a doggy door, even better! While Rocky is happy to fly the skies solo, he does get a long with other dogs as well in case you have any at home. He hasn't had experience with cats or kiddos yet, but is curious to try and see what they're all about! He's the sweetest boy who doesn't like to be scolded (who does, really?) and will do anything he can to make his people happy. Yup he'll even tell you that jacket goes with your shirt when it clearly doesn't! It's whatever makes you happy. Rocky would thrive in a home that has a big yard with an active family with a taste for adventure. He loves exercise and hopes you will too! Rocky, however, has one secret: He doesn't know his name! That's right! When Rocky Bullwinkle joins your home, he's more than happy to rebrand and take on a whole different name so choose wisely or he'll forever judge your choices just like that jacket! Rocky is a handsome boy looking for his fur-ever sidekick! Bring him home today! All dogs are up to date on vaccinations and spayed/neutered at the time of adoption. All dogs require professional training to become the best family member they can be. To adopt or learn more about Rocky Bullwinkle, you must fill out an adoption application.
