A playful 15-week-old (as of 2/22) German Shepherd/Catahoula mix, weighing approx 13 pounds (as of 2/5/26). This girl is part of the Elf litter that was born in a farm in Tennessee. Despite her name, Trixie has no tricks up her proverbial sleeves aside from batting those puppy dog eyes to make you fall in love with her! UPDATE from her foster: Trixie is such a sweetheart! She’s impressively smart even learning how to sit in less than 15 minutes. Now she sits up everywhere. She loves to follow everyone around and adjusts well in new environments. Trixie loves playing with other dogs and being the center of attention! She loves to cuddle up with anyone on the couch after a long day of playing with all her toys and exploring the world! Trixie does excellent in the crate even sleeping throughout the entire night! She's doing amazing with house training!! Similar to her siblings, Trixie was given a "T" on her forehead so her foster would know who she was but WE think the "T" stands for "tender" and "terrific" because Trixie is both! Trixie is as sweet as a candy cane off a Christmas tree and will stick to you like figgy pudding! She loves affection and is happy to brighten up anyone's day! When Trixie isn't playing with her siblings or the other housedogs in their converted garage, she's dreaming of the day she can make your winter dreams come true and play in the snow with you. Trixie's good-natured temperament and sociability is sure to make her stand out in your home especially as she grows to 50+ pounds by adulthood. Trixie is still mastering potty training and doesn't have as much experience on a leash, but this girl is more than ready to learn and show you that she's got what it takes to be a great companion! It is most likely that both their parents were strays and even if not, mixes of some sort and that their grandparents were mixes as well. The dog may have some genetic material of an American Staffordshire Terrier (pit bull). The dogs are usually mixes of many breeds, making them a breed all their own - a True and adorable American MUTT. If you are interested in this dog, you must submit an application.
