Nova is a beautiful adult female American Eskimo / Kelpie mix with a big personality and an even bigger heart. This sweet, goofy girl has a soft spot for women and forms especially strong bonds once she feels safe and comfortable. Nova can be a little reserved at first and may take some time to warm up to new people, but once she does, she’ll happily become your loyal shadow. She thrives on routine and structure, which helps her feel confident and secure in her environment. One of Nova’s most endearing traits? She’s a huge conversationalist! She loves to “talk back” and be part of whatever you’re doing, making her a fun and engaging companion. She’s also completely obsessed with belly rubs and will gladly soak up all the affection you’re willing to give. Nova does appear to have a skin allergy, which we are currently working to get under control. Her future adopter should be willing to continue managing this with guidance from a veterinarian. Because Nova shows her true personality once she’s comfortable, she would need to meet potential adopters a couple of times before adoption to really let her shine. She is still awaiting her full evaluation, but we are happily accepting early applications for this special girl.
