Once a shy and skittish dog devoted to a quiet life with her people, she now finds herself overwhelmed by the chaos of shelter life and a busy multi-dog foster environment. Stella isn't aggressive; she's just cautious and prefers to keep her distance, needing time and patience to blossom. Deep down, it's clear there's a gentle, sweet-natured companion inside waiting for things to settle down. Stella has never lived with other animals but may coexist peacefully with another very calm and older dog who respects her space, preferably one content to nap at the other end of the room. She weighs around 20 pounds and is a fluffy spitz-type mix, showing hints of chow with blue spots on her tongue and possibly some Pomeranian, American Eskimo, or other northern breed ancestry, making her a unique miniature. Her long, soft coat is incredibly soothing to pet, and she's the perfect lap-sized dog who enjoys napping on comfy beds. She appears house trained and, at her age, prefers a calm, stable environment where she can feel safe and loved again.
