Sheldon came from a very difficult situation. When he was surrendered to the shelter, his coat was so severely matted that a mat around his ankle had cut into his Achilles tendon. He’s currently healing, slowly putting weight on that leg, and improving more every day. It will take a little more time, but it doesn’t dampen his happiness one bit. He still zips around and enjoys life to the fullest. Because of his terrier coat, Sheldon will need regular grooming to keep him comfortable and mat-free. A little routine brushing and occasional professional grooming will help ensure he never experiences that discomfort again. There are no children or cats in his foster home, but given his gentle, affectionate personality, we believe he would likely do just fine with both. Sheldon would be absolutely perfect for a senior household or anyone looking for a tiny, devoted companion. He’s incredibly friendly, loving, and grateful for every bit of attention he receives.
