Meet Major Tom! Major Tom's journey hasn’t exactly been smooth sailing. This handsome boy was found lingering outside a tire shop — clearly not where he belonged and likely dumped despite being very comfortable with people. Thankfully, he was rescued and brought into foster care, where he received the love and attention he deserved. Because he’s such a striking and charming fellow, Major Tom was adopted quickly. Unfortunately, after about a month it became clear that the home wasn’t the right fit for him - a playful dog and young child were not his jam. Now he’s back on the lookout — this time for the right forever home where he can truly thrive. Major Tom is hoping for a quiet, lower-key household without small children. He can happily be your one and only, but he may also enjoy the company of another mellow feline friend. He did well with the cats in his foster home. He has also lived with dogs and did fine with calm, cat-savvy pups, but a very playful dog proved to be too much for him — so any canine companions should be gentle and laid-back. It’s possible Major Tom had some negative experiences in his past, as he can be initially wary of men. He would likely settle in quickest in a women-only home, but a home with a patient, gentle man who gives him time and space to warm up could win his heart. Once Major Tom feels safe, his true personality shines. He is an incredibly sweet and loving little gentleman who adores pets and will happily snuggle when he’s comfortable. Start petting him and his purr motor switches on instantly — a steady, happy little rumble. He even has the softest belly and will share it with his trusted person. We may not know what Major Tom has been through, but we do know he deserves a bright, secure future. With a bit of patience and a lot of love, this special boy will reward his person with deep loyalty and affection. Ready to give Major Tom the loving home he’s been waiting for? Major Tom is around 2-3 years old. He has been neutered and vaccinated. He is litter box trained. The adoption fee is $80 We are located in the Columbia Gorge area in OR/WA (this is where the kittens are fostered), but we are able to transport to those locations where we advertise (i.e. Seattle and Portland area). There isn't an additional fee for transport, but any additional donation to help support what our little group does is appreciated. Do you have any other pets? What else should we know? All of the kittens at Pawsitivity are fostered in homes where they are cared for and socialized. We don't keep kittens in cages (except maybe at bedtime). Our foster parents are able to learn each of their personalities this way and determine the best home for them.
