Meet Francesca 💕🐾 Francesca is a 4-year-old Yorkie mix who is ready for a fresh start and a quieter, more gentle chapter of life. She previously lived with dogs her size and did well, and since coming into our care she's been learning what a leash is and how to walk on one--something that's all very new to her. Each day, she's taking small but meaningful steps as she builds confidence and learns to trust the world around her. Francesca is still very much finding her footing, and we haven't yet seen her playful side--but we know it's there, waiting for the right environment to bring it out. She would do best with a patient, understanding adopter who will let her move at her own pace and celebrate the little wins. A home with another confident, friendly dog could be a wonderful influence and help her continue to grow. She does not have known history with cats or children. As a Yorkie mix, regular grooming will be required. Francesca came to us severely matted and had to be completely shaved down, so her future family should be prepared for ongoing grooming as her coat grows back to keep her comfortable and healthy.
