Shakira was abandoned in a local yard this winter. She was thin and cold and frightened. She has flourished in foster care and is ready for the right lifetime home. Shakira is about a year old. She is 8 inches tall at the shoulder and weighs 11 pounds. She is house and crate trained and mostly house safe with some occasional paper nibbling. Shakira gets along very well with all the dogs in her foster home. She has not been exposed to cats. She would do best in a family with gentle older children and another dog buddy to mentor her and for her to play with. This little girl is still shy with new people, so a patient family willing to invest some time in basic training classes and gradual exposure to new places and new people is our goal. Shakira rides well in the car and is learning how to walk well on a leash. She would certainly like to be an active hiking buddy when the weather gets warmer. Shakira loves to cuddle with her humans, but she is NOT a couch potato! Shakira is in foster care in Moses Lake, Washington. Her adoption fee is $200.
