He is a 1 year old, Labrador Retriever Mix weighing about 54lbs who is such a happy, sweet, playful boy who is finally learning what life in a real home feels like. Before coming to me, he was left in a hoarder house and only let outside once a day. Because of that, so much of this is brand new to him. He loves to play, does well with both dogs and cats, and would enjoy a dog buddy to zoom around with (but it’s not required!). He’s discovering toys, treats, routines, and all the little joys of being someone’s dog. He’s very much a puppy in progress and is still learning the ropes — including potty training. We’re working on it, and he’s making steady progress. With consistency and patience, he’s going to absolutely shine. Lightning is full of potential, resilience, and love. He just needs someone willing to continue showing him what a safe, happy life looks like.
