Hi, I’m Shakespeare! I’m a 1.5-year-old Lab mix weighing about 55 pounds, with a big heart and a lovable personality to match. I was pulled from a high-kill shelter down south, and now I’m thriving in a foster home in Adrian, Michigan. Once I feel comfortable, my sweet and affectionate nature really shines. I’ve proven to be adaptable, smart, and eager to please as I’ve settled into home life. In my foster home, I’ve developed a nice routine. I enjoy heading outside to take care of business, do a few laps, and then I’m more than ready for my favorite thing — belly rubs. I absolutely love affection and will happily roll over for scratches any chance I get. I’m respectful in the home, listen well to correction when needed, and respond nicely to structure. I’m also working hard on my potty training and making great progress every day. I’m good with other dogs and have also done well with cats. I have a wonderful balance of playful and calm, and I truly enjoy being near my people, whether that’s relaxing on my bed or soaking up attention. I am fully vetted, including being neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and up to date on heartworm and flea/tick preventatives. My adoption fee is $400.
