About Burrito
Burrito: Found tide up outside with a real feel temperature of 12 degrees Fahrenheit, Burrito was visibly shaking from the cold. He wasnāt lost. He wasnāt wandering. He was standing in a backyard, not being properly cared for. Attached to an oversized collar was a heavy chain no longer than five feet , ummm Helloo.. a violation of the City of Warrenās tethering ordinance. Two overturned buckets were nearby⦠both empty of food and water⦠filled instead with debris. No comfort. No warmth. No protection from the bitter cold. And yet⦠Fast forward to today, and you would never know the hardship this little man endured. Burrito is the wiggly, canāt take a photo cause he doesnāt stay stillis the happiest little guy. The moment you walk into his room, he pops up in his crate with that big smile and those shiny white teeth, tail going a mile a minute, just so eager to greet you. Heās a little guy ā probably around 35ā45 pounds ā and we think heās about 1ā2 years old. The perfect size. Not too big, not too small. Just right. He has the cutest speckles on his fur ā little markings here and there like someone sprinkled him with sweetness. He seems to do well around other dogs, has not been cat tested, and we feel he may be okay with respectful kiddos. He truly doesnāt have a care in the world now , he just wants love. Right now heās in an overcrowded shelter , but he doesnāt belong here. After everything heās been through, he deserves warmth. A couch. A family. A soft bed . Burrito survived the cold and the chain. Now he just needs someone to choose him. If youāre ready to give this speckled little survivor the life heās always deserved, please submit an adoption application to: Healthyheartsproject.org/adopt A team member will reach out within 24ā48 hours to schedule a meet and greet. Letās get Burrito home.
