About Petunia Palliative Care Needed

Petunia is in need of a palliative care home. Email us for an application. She is a purebred spayed Frenchie born 12/4/2024. She weighs 15 pounds and was surrendered as her owners could not care for her. She will need a couple of days to learn her surroundings. Best in a home with things not laying around in the floor or furniture changes. The reason for palliative care is due to mobility issues with her back legs. She is also blind. Due to her recent episode taking her site away she is stressed with dogs in her space as she does not know what is going on around her. She struggles to stand on all four legs for a long period of time before her back legs get weak. What we need in her home: -prefer no other pets or just one dog that is not looking for a playmate -prefer carpeted home or lots of runners -a ranch or limited stairs -open to working on potty training What does palliative care mean: Caretaker provides a loving and safe home. Transport the dog to vet visits if needed. MABTR maintaines ownership of the dog MABTR provides food and a crate MABTR covers all costs for care including all medical costs as well as supplies needed for the dog Here's a little more about her: Crate trained? Yes Leash-trained? Yes but unsure of surroundings Rides well in a car? Yes Good with other dogs? Yes as long as they do not interact with her Good with cats? Not not tested Good with young children? Yes Good with strangers? Yes Shy or confident? Confident Barks? Yes Apartment qualified? Yes, main level All our dogs are spayed/neutered (if six months and older), up to date on rabies and distemper, heartworm tested, and microchipped. Other medical needs diagnosed while in foster care are also treated prior to adoption. MABTR requires a fenced in area from families who own their home, however we DO adopt to apartment complexes and communities where fences are not permitted due to leases and covenants. In these cases a leash law must be enforced. We do not accept invisible fencing. MABTR only adopts to families residing in NE, CO, MO, KS, IA, WY, SD, ND, ID, UT, MT, MN, and NW AR due to the lack of volunteer support in other states, no exception even if you are willing to drive. Petfinder's form is NOT our application. We will respond back to you within 72 hours of receiving your application. Interested in Donating visit https://www.adoptaboston.com/donate
