About Cashmere
Click apply to start the adoption process. Meet Cashmere (also known as Cash), a gentle 7-year-old Maltese rescued from a commercial breeding kennel. Her foster mom shares that Cashmere is just learning about life in a loving home after spending years in a cage. Everyday experiences like household noises, touches from people, going up steps, the sound of the TV, and even walks on a leash are all new and sometimes overwhelming to her. After having her last two teeth removed and recovering from double ear infections, Cashmere is starting to regain her health and has even been spayed. While building trust takes time, she has gradually begun to enjoy gentle petting and the pleasures of soft food. Liverwurst, chicken, and beef hot dogs are among her favorites and help her bond with people. Crate training is in progress, and she is learning to go potty outside, though she still needs regular outings and encouragement. Her beautiful white coat is starting to grow out after being shaved at the kennel, and her appearance will continue to blossom with good care. To thrive, Cashmere will need a fenced yard and a calm dog companion to help her gain confidence. She is making daily progress but requires a patient, slow, and consistent approach. Mill dogs like Cashmere may take a while to warm up, but they bond deeply with their new families. Fun fact: Cashmere’s birthday is February 12, making her an Aquarius! Aquarians are known for their gentle spirits and unique personalities. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started.
