Lady is a 7-year-old, 10-pound Maltese mix who does best as the only dog in the house and needs a calm home where someone is around most of the time. She gets along with cats and polite kids over 13, but is selective around other dogs. Housebroken if kept on a schedule, Lady is comfortable in a crate, will use pee pads or a diaper, and loves walks with a harness or a secure fenced yard. She’s nimble, clever, and has a soft spot for squeaky toys, but can be startled by people, dogs, or loud noises—so letting her sleep in a dog bed on the floor is best to avoid waking her suddenly. Lady needs someone diligent about regular brushing and grooming to prevent matting, and she thrives with consistent leadership and structure as she continues her training. Her foster requires she be adopted close to Cherry Hill, NJ, since meet-and-greets and home checks with everyone living in the home are needed. Lady takes daily meds for a seizure disorder and her eyes, and is already spayed, vaccinated, heartworm negative, and microchipped.
