Lady is a 7-year-old, 10-pound Maltese mix who does best as the only dog in the house and needs a calm home where someone is around most of the time. She gets along with cats and polite kids over 13, but is selective around other dogs. Housebroken if kept on a schedule, Lady is comfortable in a crate, will use pee pads or a diaper, and loves walks with a harness or a secure fenced yard. She’s nimble, clever, and has a soft spot for squeaky toys, but can be startled by people, dogs, or loud noises—so letting her sleep in a dog bed on the floor is best to avoid waking her suddenly.
