Meet Sirius Black — The Boy Who Just Wanted to Come Inside Sirius Black is a 2½-year-old sweetheart who was recently rescued off the streets of Woonsocket — literally the day before a snowstorm rolled in. He had shown up at a kind person’s home a street away from where we had recently trapped a mom and kittens. At the time, he was hungry, unsure, and clearly just trying to survive. Neighbors often heard him crying outside, and he was found trying to get into people’s houses. It was heartbreaking — he didn’t want to be out there. He wanted safety. He wanted love. When we went to safely trap him, we were prepared for a scared, hard-to-catch boy. Instead, within three minutes of arriving, Sirius walked right up and hopped into waiting arms. Just like that. As if to say, “Okay, I’m ready.” And oh, what a love he is. Sirius gives the very best hugs — the kind where he wraps himself around you and melts into your chest. He is an absolute snugglebug sweetheart who clearly belonged in a home all along.
