About Diego
Make their next chapter their best one yet. Meet Diego, a charming 10-year-old Chihuahua weighing in at 9 pounds, whose gentle soul and loving heart make him the perfect companion for anyone seeking a calm and loyal friend. Diego thrives on closeness and delights in cuddling, napping beside his favorite person, or simply sharing quiet moments around the house. Rarely barking, heβs a peaceful boy who flourishes in serene environments. This sweet senior adores affection and craves human connection. An adult home or one with considerate older children will suit his easygoing nature. Diego is friendly with cats, though he may need a gentle introduction as he gets comfortable. His back legs can be a little stiff, and he may require help with furniture or steps, finding more joy in being carried or strolling in a comfy pet stroller than in taking long walks. Diego is mostly house trained if kept on a regular potty schedule, especially after meals and first thing in the morning, though occasional accidents can happen. At bedtime, he prefers his crate nearby with the door left open, so he doesn't feel alone. While he can be left for short periods, Diego is happiest when heβs part of your daily routine. He does have a heart murmur but shows no signs of heart failure and continues to be an affectionate little companion, ready for his forever home. Diego is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and patiently waiting for his chance to fill your life with warmth and love. They are ready to love you; are you ready to apply?

Questions about Diego
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
Chihuahuas are best suited for indoor living and thrive in homes where they can spend lots of time with their owners. They prefer calm, affectionate households and do well in apartments or houses.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
Chihuahuas do not require a large amount of outdoor space; a small yard or supervised walks are sufficient. They are well-suited to apartment living and enjoy short outdoor activities with their people.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
Chihuahuas can be good with older, respectful children, but due to their small size and gentle disposition, homes with very young or boisterous children are not ideal. Supervision is recommended to ensure both the dog and children are safe.
