Hi there! My name is Birdie! I am an 8 month old female Belgian Malinois/Shepherd mix at the Santa Barbara Campus, eager for a new home! Birdie is a stunning Malinois puppy bursting with energy, intelligence, and lots of love! This smart girl is happiest when she has a job to and would thrive in a home with an active family or individual who enjoys outdoor adventures, hiking, running, agility, or obedience. Birdie would do best with an experienced dog owner who understands the needs of a high energy working breed and provide daily physical and mental enrichment for her to stay happy. And though she loves all her friends she's met here, feline friends are not welcome in her world. She's silly, she's goofy, and if she could, she would live in your skin. Birdie loves the connection she gets from engaging with her handlers and would need consistent, positive reinforced training with lots of treats to reward her with! Once you set boundaries and structure with her, you'll have a loyal and spirited companion, always ready to be by your side. Like all SBH animals, when I am adopted I will have been spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. Adoptions also include a certificate for a complimentary post-adoption veterinary exam from a local clinic and our partners at Hills Science Diet will provide a supply of food for my first few days at home.
