Meet Maggie! Hi, I’m Maggie! I’m a wonderful mix of a few breeds — possibly Basenji, Boxer, maybe a little Terrier, and who knows what else — but I’m 100% amazing. I have a big personality and a loving heart to match. I love playing with sticks, going on walks, and staying cozy and warm. Tug-of-war is my absolute favorite evening activity, especially with a rope toy right before dinner. Sometimes I win, sometimes my human wins — either way, I have a blast. I also enjoy tennis balls… sometimes I bring them back, and sometimes I decide to keep them for myself. I’m house trained and used to city living. I didn’t mind having my paws washed when coming back inside, and I tolerate baths just fine. I love car rides and enjoy watching the world go by through the window. Exploring new places is fun for me, though I don’t need constant adventure — I also love naps, especially stretched out on the couch in a sunny spot. I can be a little vocal when I see other dogs on walks, though most of the time I’m happy to keep moving. Squirrels are very exciting, and fireworks can make me nervous, but I usually stay quiet and look to my person for reassurance. I’m loyal and protective, and I’ve even alerted my humans when something didn’t feel right on a hike. I was nervous when I first met my caretaker, but once I warmed up, I followed them everywhere. I bond deeply and enjoy being close — sometimes even curling up in a lap. I know “come” (especially with two finger snaps!) and I’m working on “sit.” I’m smart, curious, and would love a home that enjoys teaching me new things. Maggie would do best with someone who has time, patience, and love to give. In return, she offers loyalty, affection, and a lifetime of companionship. Maggie is fully vetted and ready to go.
