His alter ego might just be Elvis, because this boy is full of “hunka, hunka burning love.” Ray is affectionate, cuddly, and always ready for belly rubs. He gets along beautifully with our other pets, which is saying something because fitting in with a pack of Dachshunds isn’t always easy. He’s calm, gentle, and wonderfully non‐reactive—doorbells, other dogs, and everyday noises don’t faze him. He’s seen the outdoor cats at his foster home and simply watches them, so his foster mom is confident he’d do well in a home with cats too. Ray sleeps through the night on his bed, goes outside to potty, and loves to sunbathe in the grass. He’s fantastic with his foster grandbabies (ages 3 and 5). He even lets the 5‐year‐old walk him on a leash, and he does great. He enjoys a nice stroll and remains calm when passing other dogs. Ray is a certified couch potato who never turns down a good snooze. He loves carrying around his ball and will happily chase it when you throw it. These are ground transports using third party vehicles (vans/buses) converted for dog transport. Each adopter has the ability to track the van using the app Life360, and receives updates from transport along the way. Facebook chats are another resource to stay informed on tracking dogs on transport. Please be able to use one of these available services if you wish to follow your adopted dog on transport. *Our adoption fees are based on the vetting we put into each dog. Fees for puppies (under 12 months) are higher because they require more vetting than dogs over 1 year. *Listed breed and age are based on a best guess estimation by rescue and veterinary staff; DNA tests are not included in adoption. *Our adopters are eligible to receive 50% off training with Curbed Behaviors Dog Training for programs booked within 30 days of adoption, and 25% off programs booked within 60-90 days of adoption. *All of our adopters are invited to join our “Alum Pupdates” Facebook group, to share their story and their adorable pup with fellow Sunnyside Street Dogs adopters!
