Lola A Gem is a loving, loyal, and exceptionally sweet French Bulldog whose spirit shines despite a tough start. Found hungry on a rainy night, she's blossomed into a playful companion who absolutely adores people and wants nothing more than to be close to them. Lola does best with older children, as younger, very active kids may overwhelm her sensitive nature. Leash walks are a treat—she'll pause to check that you're right there with her, and she's quick to learn new things, including an unforgettable high five. Lola is social with other dogs and thrives as part of a family or dog group. She does guard her food if another dog gets too close, gently pushing them away with her head. Lola craves affection and communicates in her own charm, especially when getting head rubs. She’s reliably house trained and will clearly let you know when she has to go outside, using a mix of signs from going to the door to gently grabbing your hand or softly barking. Lola is a special needs dog due to heart issues left from a severe heartworm infection. She’ll require ongoing medication and regular vet visits to stay healthy. Like many French Bulldogs, she’s prone to other health conditions, but with attentive care, she should enjoy many happy years ahead.
