About Big Oj
Click apply to start the adoption process. Big Oj is a beautiful, big orange boy whose story is as touching as his spirit is gentle. His rich autumn-colored coat and soft amber eyes hint at the deep sweetness within—but also reflect the uncertainty of a cat who has experienced sudden loss and is bravely learning to trust once more. Once, Big Oj had a safe haven at a local cat sanctuary where he felt secure—until a tragic fire turned his world upside down. As a lucky survivor of this event, he now moves with gentle caution and seeks reassurance as he settles into his new life at Kitty Corner. He’s taking every day one step at a time, gradually rebuilding his confidence and sense of safety. Underneath his initial shyness, Big Oj is a tremendously tender soul. In his previous sanctuary, he lived peacefully with other cats and had positive experiences with dogs, proving his capacity to form gentle connections. His ideal forever home is a tranquil environment without young children, offering calm, patient encouragement as he heals and grows. Big Oj is searching for someone who will recognize the bravery in his small victories and provide the compassion needed for trust to flourish again. When he finally nuzzles your hand with confidence, you’ll know every patient moment was truly meaningful. They are ready to love you; are you ready to apply?
