FOREVER HOME NEEDED (currently in foster care) Meet Sapphire! Sapphire is a 4.5-year-old, 40 lb hound mix who came to us from an overcrowded shelter in CA. She’s now thriving in foster care and showing everyone just how cuddly she is! This sweet and sassy girl is spunky, confident, and your typical adventurous hound. She would love a forever home that can provide an active lifestyle, plenty of daily exercise, and ideally a large, securely fenced yard where she can run and play. In her foster home, Sapphire has been doing great! She’s super cuddly, affectionate, and absolutely loves attention from her people. She’s sweet and loving with everyone she meets and has done great with other dogs. She’s also doing well with the resident cat in her foster home. Sapphire is settling well into home life and making great progress with house training. She will benefit from continued work on obedience and manners as she adjusts—she’s smart and eager, but like many hounds, she can be a little mischievous (counter surfing is something she’s actively improving on!). With consistency and structure, she continues to make strides every day. Sapphire is incredibly smart, a quick learner, and with the right guidance, will absolutely thrive. She’s ready for a loving home committed to continuing her training and giving her the active, affectionate life she deserves. Sapphire is UTD vaccinations, microchipped, and spayed. Her adoption fee is $500.
