My name is Scooter and even tho I’m not a Dachshund, I’m a super cute guy! I have the body of a Doxie with a little bit longer legs and super large radar ears! Here’s all the wonderful things you need to know about me: I’m an expert snuggler… I love to jump on your lap and binge on all the new shows! ✅ I do well around other small CALM dogs , especially when I can be separated during feeding time ✅ I think I’ll do well around children that are 10yo or older. I don’t like being picked up so I don’t want to chance it being around smaller kids ✅ I am very potty trained as long as your show me the in’s and out’s of your house, literally 🤣✅ I like to graze around the yard and get my sniffs in. I also like being on a leash and going on walks! ✅ I am getting used to sleeping in a crate at night although I much prefer to sleep in the big bed with you! ✅ My only 2 issues are: ❌ I don’t like being picked up when I’m laying down ❌ I do bark when I am left alone So I can’t go to live in an apartment with a new family. My foster mom is working on getting me on some pain meds because she thinks I’m in some pain from something called “old age” and “arthritis”. So hopefully that makes me feel better! I don’t bark when my human is with me though, I’m quiet as a mouse 🙂 I am neutered, UTD on all my vaccines and I even just had a dental so you don’t have to worry about any Of that! I just have a checkup at the vet this week (Feb. 19) to get a few things checked out.
