Simon learned early on what it feels like to be forgotten. His previous owner left him outside to fend for himself, and because of that, Simon is cautious when meeting new people. He doesn’t rush into trust — he waits to see if you’re kind. But once Simon knows you’re safe, his walls come down completely. He’ll roll right onto his back, paws in the air, asking for belly rubs like it’s his full-time job. He becomes soft, affectionate, and incredibly sweet — the kind of dog who quietly steals your heart without you realizing it. Simon loves food (truly loves it), which explains his adorable chunk-butt figure. He wouldn’t mind shedding a few pounds, especially if it means more walks — something he genuinely enjoys. He’s great on leash, happy to stroll by your side, and absolutely loves playing with other dogs. Simon doesn’t need perfection. He just needs patience, kindness, and someone who will never leave him behind again. If you’re willing to give him a little time, Simon will give you all of his heart — and probably ask for snacks along the way.
