About Cherry
Meet Momma Cherry, a sweet and gentle soul waiting for her forever home. This 3-year, 9-month-old Chihuahua mix is currently in Palm Desert, CA, where she has patiently awaited her happy ending for over a year. Cherry, weighing about 17 lbs, comes fully vetted with all vaccinations, is spayed, and on flea and tick prevention. Her journey began in Mexicali, Mexico, where she bravely cared for her puppies despite tough circumstances. After receiving care from compassionate veterinarians and staying in a loving foster home, her puppies have mostly found their forever families. Now it’s Cherry’s turn to shine. Cherry is calm, affectionate, and rather easygoing, but her past makes her shy in new situations. She needs a patient adopter willing to help her build trust. Cherry gets along well with other dogs, particularly males, but she doesn’t do well with kids or cats. She’s house trained and ready to fill her new home with loyalty and love. Cherry has given so much throughout her life and now deserves a place to feel safe and cherished. Ready to give Cherry her much-deserved happy ending? Start your journey together! Apply now.

How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
Chihuahuas like Cherry generally do well in smaller spaces. However, they still appreciate a secure yard for short play periods and walks, which can provide necessary exercise.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
No, Cherry is not suitable for homes with children. Due to her timid nature and past experiences, an adult-only environment would be more pleasant for her.
