About Steeler
Steeler is a female Great Pyrenees puppy from the NFL Litter, named for the Pittsburgh Steelers. Born in late November 2025 at a breeding operation, she was part of a group of puppies kept outside in the snow until rescued. Fortunately, Steeler and her siblings landed in safer hands and are now looking for homes with experience in giant breeds. Steeler is just six months old and bursting with curiosity and playfulness, but she will grow very large and needs owners who understand giant breeds’ needs—including daily structure, training, and plenty of positive experiences with new people and environments. Right now, she is not yet house trained and will need a home ready for the challenges that come with giant puppyhood: frequent potty breaks, crate training, socialization, mental stimulation, and a big time commitment. Her new family should be prepared for obedience classes as part of the adoption agreement and understand that her adoption requires a spay contract and deposit, since she's too young for the procedure. The rescue will update this profile as more is learned about Steeler's personality. Give them the home they have been waiting for. Apply today.
