Tortiemama is a young female Tortoiseshell/Calico mix with a short coat. She is about 2-3 years old, spayed, and fully vaccinated. Living in Jamaica Plain, MA, she is house trained and does best without other cats in the home. She is comfortable around calm, older dogs and needs regular nail trims for her double paws.

About Tortiemama

Tortiemama was found severely underweight in an inner-city neighborhood last April and soon after revealed she was carrying a big litter—she brought eight healthy kittens into the world and cared for them beautifully. Last fall, she was placed in a home with her kitten, along with an adult male cat and a gentle greyhound. However, she struggled with the existing cat, leading to her return. It's clear she needs to be the only cat in the house, but she does fine with calm, older dogs. She is a young adult (about 2-3 years old) with a quiet, cautious nature, seeking out attention once she feels settled. Tortiemama is spayed, tested for diseases, and up to date on vaccines. She is house trained and requires regular nail trims—her double paws mean her claws grow fast. She deserves a patient adopter who will let her warm up at her own pace and provide the quiet, single-cat home she needs. Start your journey together! Apply now.
