2-15-26 Tortiemama was found starving April of last year in an inner-city neighborhood. We thought she was pregnant, so we did an ultrasound and found out she was carrying at least 5-6 babies! She had EIGHT! She raised them beautifully and we adopted her out last fall with her baby (in pictures) to a home with an existing adult male cat and a placid greyhound dog. Everything would have been fine except this mama started attacking the pre-existing cat in the home. The original cat got along famously with Tortiemama's kitten, so we had a dilemma and decided on returning her only to the shelter. Mama is a sweet girl, demure and quiet, seeking affection cautiously until she feels comfortable. She is about 2-3 years old, spayed, tested for diseases and up to date in vaccines. We are looking for a home where she is the only cat, but gentle older dogs are fine. She has BIG double paws and nails that MUST BE TRIMMED regularly. PLEASE EMAIL US FOR AN APPLICATION!
