About Xena
Think you are the one? Submit an application! Xena is a gentle and affectionate soul looking for a cozy spot on your couch and a place in your heart. Her curious nature means she’s always ready for a little adventure, but her calm demeanor makes her the perfect companion for a relaxing evening. Xena, an adult American Staffordshire Terrier, has overcome a difficult start to life—with extensive medical care, including spay surgery and treatment for serious ear infections. She’s grateful for her second chance and eager to share her loving heart with a new family. Now weighing in at 65 pounds, Xena is spayed, up-to-date on vaccines, and heartworm negative. She is crate trained and housebroken, making her easy to settle into home life. While her ears will need routine cleaning and occasional ointment to keep them healthy, she handles her care with grace. Xena would do best without cats in the home, but she may enjoy the company of another dog after a proper meet and greet. She is currently being fostered at Mona's House Animal Rescue in Southeastern CT and can’t wait to meet her forever family. Make their next chapter their best one yet.
