Meet BUGSY, the cutest little chug ever. BUGSY is so sweet and cute and loving and just everything you could want in a dog. To know him, is to absolutely adore him. He is potty trained too. He is probably around 7-9 years old and he is just a sweet baby. One thing to note, is that BUGSY loves walks. He would not enjoy being a dog who never gets out of the house. He is easy, but also likes walks and little adventures. BUGSY is slightly special needs in that he needs to be babied to ensure longevity. He was taken in from a breeder/hoarder group of over 30 dogs and he almost didn't survive due to terrible neglect and starvation. He had just about given up. But, with some real babying, he was brought back to good health. He had almost all of his teeth removed (his mouth was very infected), and with hand feeding and encouragement and lots of warm cozy rest in the sunshine, he gained lots of weight! And now? He feel and looks great! He is great with other dogs and we are not sure about cats. His care needs: -Sometimes you have to convince him to eat, by feeding him a couple of his first bites by hand. Then he digs in! - He loves walks on his little harness. - He MUST sleep under the covers in YOUR bed. - He must be allowed on your lap :) - He has a bit of a luxating patella that doesn't seem to bother him much. But he may need surgery sometime for it and START would cover half it at our vet, if so. Right now we are not giving it to him because he does not seem to be in any pain.
