About Nico
Nico has had a rough start, but youād never know it by his bright, trusting energy. Heās a three-year-old black Pug rescued from an unthinkable situationāthrown from a moving van onto train tracksāyet heās come through with resilience and charm. Now thriving in foster care, Nico is all heart: friendly, eager for affection, and a sucker for a cozy lap or a treat. Heās got an infectious smile and an unmistakable twirl on his hind legs when dinnerās on the way. At 17 pounds, heās an easy fit for snuggles or strolls. Nico enjoys exploring and tossing toys, but at the end of the day, he wants nothing more than company and calm. He generally does well with other dogs but is most at ease around smaller, female pups and prefers laid-back canine companions to excitable, dominant dogs. He hasnāt been tested with cats. Due to early trauma, Nico needs a home without rambunctious childrenāhe wants gentle, reliable affection. Heās house trained, neutered, and fully vetted. His new guardian should be ready to offer the patience, security, and vet care a Pug needs, ideally with some experience with brachycephalic breeds. Nico is being fostered in Southern California but can travel for the right adopter in Northern California. If you want a loyal, playful, and affectionate companion with a big comeback story, Nico is ready to meet you. Start your journey together! Apply now.
