While she is not yet house trained and is still regaining weight after arriving underweight, Roxy has proven to be gentle and responsive to care.

Roxy is a large, short-coated Weimaraner based in Birmingham, AL. She arrived at the rescue underweight and recovering, after suffering significant neglect. Despite her past, Roxy has shown a gentle and loving attitude with the volunteers caring for her, responding warmly to kindness and affection. She is crate trained and seems to genuinely enjoy human attention, taking comfort in positive interactions. Roxy still needs time to regain her health and is not yet available for adoption as she awaits spay surgery and medical stabilization. While she gets along with dogs, her compatibility with children and cats hasn't been tested. Roxyâs story is a reminder of how resilient and affectionate dogs can be, even after enduring tough circumstances.
