About Tnpete

Tnpete is a 4-year-old neutered male Brittany Spaniel with a complicated story but an unmistakable soft spot for people. When he arrived at his rescue, he was blind from birth due to cataracts. Thanks to fundraising, he got his sight back, though that was only the start of his journey. Adjusting to sight brought anxiety and some compulsive behaviors—barking, spinning, and fixating on light and shadows—but those are now well-managed with medication, white noise, and training. The main thing he gets stuck on now is fetching balls, which he’ll do with energy until the ball launcher gives out. Tnpete also lives with Pica, a compulsion to eat non-food items. Outside, he’s absorbed in chasing balls, but when unsupervised indoors, he’s happy to wear a muzzle to keep him safe. He’s crate trained (no bedding) and, despite the quirks, is gentle and loving with people. Tnpete must be the only dog in the home and does not get along with other dogs or cats. But with humans, he’s affectionate and trusting—leaning in for attention, basking in belly rubs, and curling up in laps. He’s well-suited for a retired household or homes with older kids and needs a secure, fenced yard for ball games. His leash manners and recall are excellent, and he’s eager to please. Tnpete is up to date on vaccines and just needs daily eye drops—for which he’ll rest his chin on your hand, ready for care. He loves car rides, is happiest with human company, and brings companionship to those patient enough to understand him. Click apply to start the adoption process.
