Nyjake is a 10 1⁄2-year-old neutered orange and white Brittany Spaniel with plenty of puppy energy left. Though he's currently fostering in Northern New York, he’s ready for a home to call his own. Don’t be fooled by his age—he’s still full of curiosity and mischief and would fit right in with an active family who loves adventures and walks. He gets excited when the leash comes out and enjoys being close to people. Since he can get a bit jumpy, a home with older, dog-savvy children would suit him best. He prefers company throughout the day—if you work from home, are retired, or spend a lot of time at home, he’ll thrive. Nyjake is house trained and crate trained, though being crated does make him nervous. He’s vocal, often letting you know what he needs, and sometimes gets possessive over toys or found items, likely because he’s never had much of his own before. He must be your one and only—he does not get along with other dogs or cats, and his prey drive kicks in with small animals. Despite these quirks, he’s affectionate and loves curling up for a snuggle at night. Nyjake is up to date on vaccinations, heartworm negative, and microchipped.
