Hi future family, I'm Salsa! I'm a 50-pound German Shepherd and Retriever mix with a big heart and an even bigger curiosity about the world around me. I'm a very sweet boy who loves checking out every little thing, and I already know my name-so I'm off to a good start! I'm still working on my manners, especially when it comes to jumping up, but I'm super treat-motivated and really want to make my people happy. With consistent training and tasty snacks, I should pick things up quickly. I can be a bit anxious in new environments and may whine sometimes, especially if I don't want to go somewhere by myself, but staying close to my people helps me feel more confident. I've got lots of energy and a rambunctious, playful style, and I can play a little rough at times, so I'll do best in an active home that keeps me busy and engaged. If I'm bored or left unattended, I might get a little mischievous-but give me exercise, enrichment, and love, and you'll see just how spunky, fun, and affectionate I truly am! My adoption fee of $225+tax covers the cost of my care and stay here at the humane society. All Pennington County residents must also pay an additional $8 licensing fee at time of adoption.
