🌟 Meet the fabulous Baguette! This delightful little nibbling wonder hails from the San Diego Humane Society and is ready to steal your heart. Baguette’s journey began as a stray and, folks, it was not an easy one! He was rescued by Humane Law Enforcement and taken to safety, but it took him a bit to adjust to the hustle and bustle of shelter life. 🏠 Just imagine him there, a bit anxious and in need of a soft place to land. Baguette was on anxiety medication and navigating through some serious health concerns, including a history of being left outdoors, which left its marks—healing fly bites on his ears, corneal scarring on his left eye, and some nicks on his back. 😥 But wait, there’s more! Despite all that, this boy radiates joy! 🌈 Now, with the loving care from his friends, he’s come a long way—and we’re not just talking about those healing scrapes. He’s gained weight, is shedding those anxiety pills, and showing off his personality. Picture him bouncing around, playfully nibbling on staff’s fingers with those sweet, joyful antics! 🐾✨ This little guy truly embodies the spirit of resilience, and while he still battles some health issues, including a bit of gastrointestinal upset (and yes, he's on the road to adjusted dietary awesomeness), he remains a ball of energy and fun! But, let's talk about health for a moment, shall we? 🩺 Baguette has some medical considerations: he still has consistent blood in his stools and a thickened colon. Fear not! We’ve done all the tests—blood, parasites, fungus, you name it, and they’ve all come back negative! The next steps? He’s currently on steroidal therapy, set to keep things on track through February. If the blood persists, we’ll go for a colonoscopy—fingers crossed for that happy outcome! Oh, and did we mention his corneal scarring? It’s a tiny patch that doesn’t really impact his sight too much! Now, Baguette isn’t quite ready for adoption just yet, as he’s got to nail down that diagnosis and treatment plan.
