Roux is a sweet, four month old mixed breed puppy who came to us from Delano, California after a trusted networker alerted us that she had been rescued from the desert. Despite her rough start, she has blossomed into a gentle, curious, and affectionate girl who is loving her new life. Roux looks like a likely Border Collie x Lab mix and is expected to grow into a medium sized dog around 40 pounds. She has an athletic frame and the perfect "do everything" size for walks, adventures, and couch cuddles. Roux is thoughtful and observant, taking her time with new people, dogs, and surroundings. With other dogs, she has nice social skills and will set appropriate boundaries when needed. She is polite on leash and approaches the world with quiet confidence. Like any puppy, she has a playful, mischievous side and may sneak off with a sock if given the chance, followed by happy zoomies and plenty of snuggles. Roux loves being with her people and is eager to please. She is smart, learns quickly, and is already picking up basic training. She would thrive in a home ready to give her structure, patience, and love as she grows.
