About Duncan
Meet Duncan. Duncan’s story began in a tough spot: facing euthanasia because of severe skin issues, dental disease, and his age. That changed when he was pulled to safety and given the chance to see a specialist at CARES. After thorough testing, it turned out that Duncan’s skin troubles were due to chronic inflammation, not cancer or autoimmune disease. Thanks to medication and medicated baths, his skin has improved a lot, though ongoing care will be part of his routine from here on out. Duncan is a 9-year-old Lab mix with a wide, genuine smile and a gentle heart to match. At about 45 pounds with a short black and cream coat, he radiates warmth whether he’s playing fetch or snuggling with his favorite people. This is a dog who loves kids, gets along with both dogs and cats, and wants nothing more than to be near his family. He listens well, enjoys carrying around toys, and even has a way of making every lap feel like home. With Duncan, you get a little burst of joy every day and a loyal friend for life. If you’re ready for a devoted dog whose happiness is contagious, Duncan could be the one you’ve been waiting for. Give them the home they have been waiting for. Apply today.
